  21. Custom outdoor fibre cabinet The brief: A Major contractor required 104 x RF over Fibre Links for an antenna array. ETL supplied StingRay 200 Series fibre chassis with redundant 10MHz distribution housed in a environmentally controlled 42U custom outdoor cabinet.

  22. CBC Fibre installation The brief: CBC wanted to connect via fibre 13 antennas from their Toronto broadcast centre, with minimum number of ODU’s. LNB powering required. -35 to +40 deg C. Ethernet monitoring via fibre (ability). Total 47 links. ETL solution & roles: 9 ODU enclosures, with total of 47 • 200 series TX modules, control panel and cables / fibre management. 2 x 2U Stingray fibre chassis with total • 24 dual RX fibre modules. Each chassis has local and remote control, and full hot swap. Customer particularly like the • ODU202 enclosure with remote control monitoring and communications (indoor functionality but in an ODU). Heater included. ODU202 – click for link Ethernet over fibre may be added • later.

  23. Redundant Fibre installation The brief: Etisalat needed 12x 1+1 redundant fibre links for downlink and uplink for some new antennas in Jebel Ali. Requirements included ability to disable (fix) AGC on the uplink & redundant fibre chassis for added resilience. ETL solution & roles: ETL’s Scorpion passive 2 way splitters are at the front end of each system. • 1U chassis holding 4 x 2-ways. Stingray 1U chassis – each populated with 4 x RX OR TX modules. Total 6 • chassis to give redundancy. 26128 modular system chassis with 2x1 redundancy switches with auto- • switchover (total 3 chassis with 4 cards in each).
