ความเป ็ นมาโครงการ Thailand PPP Plastic
- ประเทศไทยถูกจัดอันดับเป็นประเทศที่ปล่อยขยะลงทะเลเป็นอันดับ
6 ของโลก
- จากการศึกษาของสถาบันพลาสติก ร่วมกับจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย
ในปี 2560 มีปริมาณขยะพลาสติกเกิดขึ้นกว่า 2.1 ล้านตัน โดยแบ่งเป็น
- ขยะในหลุมฝังกลบ 1.5 ล้านตัน
- ขยะที่ได้รับการรีไซเคิล 0.4 ล้านตัน
- ขยะที่มีโอกาสหลุดลอดลงสู่สิ่งแวดล้อมและทะเล
0.01-0.03 ล้านตัน
- เป็นโครงการที่เกิดความร่วมมือทั้งภาครัฐ เอกชน และ NGOs เพื่อ
ร่วมแก้ปัญหาขยะพลาสติกของประเทศ
- 15 หน่วยงานจากภาครัฐ เอกชน และองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลก าไร ลง
นามเพื่อร่วมมือแก้ปัญหาขยะทะเลในวันที่ 5 มิถุนายน 2561
- กระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมประกาศเป้าหมายลด
ปริมาณขยะทะเลลงร้อยละ ภายในปี 2570
