  1. Information Systems Management Assessment - Presentation Preparation You are expected to keep a reflective journal recording what you have learned (and the implications of what you have learned) in your classes, in your study groups and, most importantly, as part of your self-directed study (your own research). For this assignment, you will be expected to form project teams and research the topic provided below. Find a case study that reflects the implementation (or use) of an emerging technology or technologies that you want to present for a board of directors. Research the potential impact of these technologies on the IT function. Record your learnings and subsequent reflections of your project in your reflective journal. Scenario You are expect to define a scenario to be used in this (as well as others) assessment. The scenario should relate to an IT operation in an organization (that could be IT or non-IT related) for which you are the manager. Do not forget to clearly describe your scenario. Alternatively, you can set your scenario as the one described below: You are the manager of an IT Management consultancy company. All the consulting services are provided online. There is a web portal where customers can contract (and pay online) the services that they want. You can also outsource some services for your partners (freelancers). New services are being introduced periodically as well as improvements are made for the current ones. Part 1 Presentation Give a presentation including the following:  A detailed presentation of a case study regarding the implementation (or use) of the emerging technology(ies) selected by you, describing what the technology(s) is(are) about.  A reflection of the prospects of the emerging technology(ies) in the future.  Evaluation of the potential and the impact of the technology(ies) on the IT function of your chosen scenario (do not forget to present the description of your scenario). Your presentation should take 20-minutes with 5-minutes set aside for questions and answers (general discussion) afterwards. You will be expected to actively participate in the general discussions. Part 2 Reflective Report Write a personal reflective report (no less than 450 and no more than 500 words) where you give:  A detailed reflection regarding a plan to implement and use the selected emerging technology(ies) in your chosen scenario.
