Ychydig o hanes cynnar Tegid Cefais fy ngeni yn Rhewl yng Ngogledd Cymru yn mis Ebrill 1960. A little of Tegid’s early history I was born in Rhewl in North Wales, in April 1960.
Ar ôl ychydig, symudwn i Erbistog ble cefais fy anifail anwes cyntaf, Blackie, cath ddu wrth gwrs.
After a while we moved to Erbistock where I had my first pet, Blackie, a black cat of course.
Fy ysgol gyntaf oedd Ysgol Gynradd Eyton ble roeddwn yn gorfod siarad Saesneg. Yn fy ysgol uwchradd roeddwn yn gallu siarad Cymraeg, Ysgol Maes Garmon yn yr Wyddgrug.
My first school was Eyton primary school where I had to speak English. At my secondary school I could speak Welsh, it was Maes Garmon school in Mold.
Yn un ar bymtheg mi ddaru fi gadael gartref ac ymunaf â'r fyddin fel milwr iau yn yr Artillery. Dyma fi ar y cwrs ymosod.
At sixteen I left home and joined the army as a junior soldier in the Artillery. Here I am on the assault course.
Ym Ionawr 1978 es i'r Almaen lle Dysgais i fod yn syrfëwr.
In January 1978 I went to Germany where I learnt to be a surveyor.
Pan oeddwn yn y fyddin treuliais y rhan fwyaf o fy amser fel hyfforddwr hyfforddiant corfforol a chystadlu mewn chwaraeon. Yr oeddwn yn chwarae rygbi, pel foli, a’r decathlon.
While I was in the army I spent most of my time as a physical training instructor and competing in sports. I played rugby, volleyball and the decathlon.

After I left the army I became a police officer in Chester. Here I am returning a stolen bicycle to its owner.
