Each local board has a strategic community broker; 17 have a full-time person; 4 have a half-time

  • person. Their role includes:
  • Being a key point of contact for communities
  • Understanding local community aspirations
  • Creating connections and opportunities across and

resources and expertise within council

  • applying community development practice, tools and
