 Site is located in Wenden, Arizona – Former Manganese Ore site in La Paz County – owned by COP  Remediation of soil by excavation to non-residential soil remediation levels with a DEUR being placed on Ore site and sampling to confirm residential use on other parcel of land.  Contaminates of Concern are metals – Arsenic, Lead, Manganese and Thallium

 Contractors performing work shall be OSHA 40 hour

HAZWOPER certified with current 8-hour refresher, specialty contractors license needed for handling contaminated materials, hazardous materials or hazardous waste (KE,KO or CR-5), meet all DOT requirements.

 Work will be completed per an approved work plan by

• ADEQ. ADEQ will approve final remediation.

 Includes excavation and limited pothole sampling to

meet ADEQ requirements.

 Work can be staged to work on areas where lab results

are not pending

Transportation Plan, Dust Control Plan, Air Monitoring and Sampling Plan, Site Safety and Health Plan, Construction Phasing Plan, Site Control Plan and Decontamination Plan

agencies: Air Quality Permit – La Paz County, AZDPES, Grading Permit, Demolition Permit, Building Permit, NESHAP
