  5. Operations Updates on Activity New Uniform Committee › Parent and Student Committee formed to design and select new uniforms for 2020-2021 School Year. › Design artwork produced and approved. Sample uniform is being made. Sample will then go to school board for approval and production will begin. Trailer Replacement › New trailer is complete and being outfitted with specific interiors and custom graphics for the band. Utility Cart Acquisition › Acquisition of yet to be named utility cart for band use is in the works. PMEA Honors Jazz at PRHS › Thanks to volunteers that managed ticket, photo, and CD sales and more on Saturday, February 8! Hosting revenue approximately $500. Blaze Pizza Fundraiser in Cranberry › Thanks to everyone that came out on President’s Day, February 17, to enjoy a few slices. Twenty percent of proceeds earned the band a donation of approximately $70.

  6. Operations Band Room Project Blake Briski Eagle Scout Project: Band Room Improvements › Remodeling the tuba/drum shelves. Blake is planning to remove shelves and construct a tuba wall in the front of the band room. This will help lengthen the life of our white sousaphones, since the current cabinet setup does not allow for easy or correct storage. (Mr. Scott asked for a tuba wall before PRHS renovations began, but request was denied by architect.) › Replacing the plastic ceiling tiles with acoustic ceiling tiles/sound absorbing panels. This should benefit and provide hearing protection to all band members. (Architect’s cloud design unacceptable as it bounces sound back toward the floor instead of absorbing it. Swapping out the hard plastic with absorbing panels should make a difference.) › Cost estimate approximately $1,400. Any donation from PRBB would be greatly appreciated. Any leftover donations will be returned to PRBB. › Funds will go towards materials required for the project, such as ceiling tiles, lumber, carpet, nails, and paint. › Construction projected to begin by the end of March/beginning of April. › Request motion to approve donation of $1,400 to finance project.
