Overview

 The council started with ARTBA Board approval in 2010  The ARTBA Women Leaders Council promotes leadership

and career advancement for professional women in the transportation design and construction industry through networking, mentoring, recognition and educational activities in partnership with ARTBA and other stakeholders

 Chair – Melissa Tooley, Texas A&M Transportation Institute  Current members include individuals from such companies

as: Wright Brothers Construction, HNTB, AECOM, CC Myers, Corman Construction, PB and more

 We currently have 30 council members and are always

looking for more!

 Meetings at ARTBA National Convention and Federal Issues

Program (some with guest speakers from government and industry)

 Host and co-sponsor ARTBA webinars featuring women

leaders in transportation

 Sponsorship of ARTBA receptions, breakfasts, etc.  Annual Awards Program with three categories:

 Lifetime Achievement (Ethel Birchland)  Company/Organization Award (Glass Hammer)  Student Award (Future Industry Spotlight)
