Enhance the economic and social opportunities for the community

  • Expansion of baccalaureate and non-

baccalaureate education opportunities in the community including Associate Degree programs, transfers, apprenticeships, and other work-based learning opportunities.

  • Create new and bolster existing career

pathways from low-paying jobs to good jobs that span very different types of occupations.

  • Revising the region’s education systems and

institutions that prepare people for the future of work so that they emphasize abstract cognitive abilities, social skills, and other abilities that are transferable across industries and occupations.
