t is a collaboration between Marisol Carrere (Producer, Writer & Actress), Heshima Moja Musical Director & Teaching Artist, and Gary T. Collins (Educational Director and Animation Artist).

• The pilot program began at Midwood High School in Brooklyn NY, where Mr. Collins worked as

D.O.E. Media Instructor and C.T.E School to work Coordinator, Mr. Collins was also a contributor in developing the Blueprint for the Moving Image.

• Classroom work is guided by variations of our outstanding course curriculum which is

related to the film I AM JULIA…caught in the bully’s lair. Students will have the opportunity to examine bullying and the different shades of violence in their surroundings, they learn to write short scripts and create films that tell their stories. Or if they choose, the students could also explore different solution to the conclusion of I AM JULIA and produce their own ending to the film.

• In addition, this work could also be accomplished through connecting with other disciplines:

Such as with Theater, Dance, Music, Photography and Painting among other art forms.

• We honor our partnerships with the Colombian Consulate - Project BOOST, all

Public Schools in NY, NJ & CT and the communities that help them flourish.

• The program is adaptable to the needs of the schools & communities we
• serve. We welcome and encourage new alliances and community organizations

in collaboration with us.

The overwhelming presence of violent aggression in the educational system, an issue that has long been undermined has now come to light.

• Students and educators will create their own production from start to finish

and exploring themes such as Identity Issues, Aggression, Conflict- Resolution, Community Relations, Sustainable Development and Friendships.

• Let’s construct a more peaceful & creative

environment in our schools and our communities, then share it with the world!
