  • Help to develop the restoration plan, trail plan and

recommendations;

  • Review the draft Phase II CMP report

ROLE OF EEPAC AND ACCAC

  • Provide review of draft Phase II CMP reports based on technical

skills and mandate of the Committees. ROLE OF THE PUBLIC

  • To review and approve a final CMP based on input from LAC,

REVIEW OF THE PHASE 1 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

1. All significant ecological features identified in Phase 1 were found to be compatible with the existing managed trails based on Chart 2 from the Guidelines for Management Zones and Trails in ESAs 2. Fifteen areas were identified that require active ecological restoration or special

  • management. Majority of ecological

restoration work is underway in 8 of 15 Restoration Overlays (Phase 1 Figure 17) 3. Three areas were identified for naturalization (Figure 18) 4. Seventeen adjacent properties were identified as potential candidates for stewardship opportunities on private

  • property. Some restoration is underway.

To develop a comprehensive multi-year CMP that presents recommendations for achieving long-term ecological integrity and protection

  • f the ESA through the implementation of an environmental management

strategy.

How Information Collected is to be Used?

Information from the public will feed into the ecological protection, enhancement, restoration, trail planning and design recommendations to be outlined the CMP The City has no proposals for trail improvements and we are seeking input from the public to be considered through the process.
