  13. 13 Williamstown Road interchange continued November/December • Building the permanent inbound exit ramp at Williamstown Road • Removal of existing noise wall – end of Williamstown Road inbound exit ramp • Widening the inbound bridge (freeway) over Williamstown Road • Excavation of the shaft for the sewer relocation works across Williamstown Road interchange • Widening the West Gate Freeway centre median Williamstown Road freeway bridge widening works (looking West)

  14. 14 Williamtown Road interchange continued November/December Williamstown Road bridge widening (over freeway) • Night time closures of the West Gate Freeway to jack up the existing bridge beams and replace the bearings • Night time closures of Williamstown Road to lift new concrete beams into place • Concrete pour to join the existing bridge to the newly constructed bridge Traffic switch late November • The inbound carriageway will be switched onto newly constructed lane on the approach to Williamstown Road bridge over the freeway

  16. 16 Fogarty Avenue continued November – mid 2019 • Temporary noise wall installation • Temporary noise walls will be installed on Fogarty Avenue between the Hockey Club and Wembley Avenue • Existing noise walls will be removed once temporary noise walls installed • Temporary noise walls will remain in place until construction of the new noise walls are complete Installing foundations for the noise walls

Fogarty Avenue / The Avenue November/December Fogarty Avenue • 66kV relocation works are ongoing • Stormwater drainage started in late October (completed in stages) – deeper and wider trenches required • Current stage - closure of Fogarty Avenue / The Avenue until end of November Newport Rail bridge (The Avenue) Preparatory works to start in late November including: • Vegetation removal • Setting up traffic barriers • Piling and excavation works Trenching works on Fogarty Avenue

South of the West Gate Freeway November/December • Piling works for new permanent noise • walls between Williamstown Road (Melbourne Road) and Newport Rail line • Piling works for new Muir Street walking and cycling bridge • Installation of temporary noise wall between Williamstown Road (Melbourne Road) and the Newport Rail line continuing Temporary noise walls

  20. 20 Millers Road interchange continued November/December Widening Millers Road underneath the freeway • New southbound lane underneath the freeway • Work switches to building the additional northbound lane later this year Building temporary and permanent ramps • Millers Road temporary inbound and outbound exit ramps • Millers Road permanent inbound entry ramp Tree removal • Millers Road outbound exit ramp and sections along Beevers Street Beevers Street • 66kv relocation works still in planning phase

  21. 21 Millers Road interchange continued Walking and cycling bridge – Rosala Paringa Road works began in late Avenue / Richards Court September • • Setting up site in reserve near Buchanan Road Long-term closure of Paringa Road from Millers through to Primula Avenue Road • • Piling works for foundation of walking and cycling Gas and telecommunication relocations bridge underway • Rosala Avenue pedestrian overpass will remain open during these works Installation of temporary noise walls • Adjacent to residential fences from the reserve near Buchanan Road through to Millers Road • Millers Road outbound exit ramp and sections along Beevers Street Long term closure of Paringa Road from Millers Road

  23. 23 West Gate Freeway - Chambers Road to Grieve Parade November/December • Local road closures • Temporary and new noise walls • Widening works in this area require • Installing a temporary noise wall between some temporary road closures to be Freemans Road and Chambers Road put in place between: • Removing the existing noise wall following • Freemans Road; the installation of the temporary noise wall • Misten Avenue; • Foundations for the new permanent noise • Rosala Avenue; and wall with piling starting early next year • Irwin Avenue. Access to all properties will be maintained although some properties will experience changes to the way they access their property.

  24. 24 Postponed works • 220kv power line works, monopole installation and Muir Street pedestrian overpass • Temporary closure of the pedestrian overpass connecting Muir Street and Fogarty Avenue has been postponed • Enabling the safe relocation of high voltage power lines • Working with AusNet on determining the best time to complete these works.
