Information from Neighbourhood Watch

from the Neighbourhood Coordinator of the MEADOW PLACE SW8 that there is anti social behavior problem with youths on mopeds and congregating smoking drugs and being aggressive to residents. This is happening from 1600 hours onwards This has been going on for several months now and is causing the residents misery feel intimidated & unable to challenge the behavior of such a large group uncomfortable walking pet dogs disturbed by noise & the stench of pot not secure in leaving their house empty over the weekend a resident of Stamford Buildings moved away as a result of being targeted by the group after confronting them & complaining about them to the police. The informant is a regular 101 caller of asb and she has sent me a list with I have attached The following Mopeds are involved and request that this put on the briefing for stops to be made. Y993BOA - Yellow/Black Gilera R/K Stephan Braz 40 Woods House 7 Gatliff road vehicle named to Stephan Amard Braz HN02XPU - Red Peugeot 205 R/K Carlos Palacio - Flat 6 Gofton House Aytoun Road SW9 Carlos Palacio Of note - LXRT00630882 On Friday 26/04/2013 officers had cause to stop a Red Peugeot 206 hatchback VRM HN02XPU in WATERLOO PLACE SW1. Upon stopping the vehicle and speaking to the driver, a very strong smell of cannabis was coming from inside the car. Both occupants and the vehicle were subject to drugs searches for cannabis. These all proved negative. Both occupants in the vehicle were known to Police, and both on bail. One of which had previous convictions for firearms offences. Subjects details; 1. Driver - Mr Andre SANTOS dob 21/12/1993 MALE IC1 F509 Thin build. Resides at Flat 37 WHITEHOUSE, CLAPHAM PARK ESTATE, HEADLAM ROAD LONDON SW48HD PNCID 07/152715A CRO 434168/07R

Street Crime - WW Rd Corridor

Overview: In the last 2 weeks there have been 7 robberies, 4 snatches and 2 commercial robberies along and in the back streets of WANDSWORTH ROAD. 6 took place in Week 1 and 7 in Week 2. Time/Day: Weekdays. Late afternoon (1700hrs) all the way through to the early hours (0400hrs). One robbery took place at 0700hrs. MO: The majority of snatches were on bikes. Most robberies involved violence. One was knife-enabled. Commercial Robberies: One was attempted shoplifting. The second was a street robbery of around £7000 cash from a landlord who was collecting rent from the venue. The suspect for this was MIC1 30's F600. Victims: Victims were mostly white males 20-mid-30's. Suspects: black males 15-25yo. Offending solo, in pair or group of 3. A number of suspects were F600 and a couple of offences mentioned suspects wearing a red

  • bandana. 3 of the suspects were male white .

Inference: Street crime in the roads along the WW Rd corridor to occur. It is likely the usual suspects are involved. As usual, there are a number of good stops, but there have been no arrests in the last fortnight.

Emerging Problem - Street Crime in Stockwell

Inference: Street crime continues to occur around the Stockwell Tube Station. There are a number of previous offenders living in the area that are likely to be involved. Context:

  • In the last two weeks there have been 3 snatches and 4 robberies.
  • 3 in Week 1 and 4 in Week 2.
  • Time: Mostly in the early hours of the morning (0000-0500hrs) Sat

(2), Mon (2), Tue (1), Wed (1) and Fri (1).

  • Victims: Mostly males, white, Mediterranean and Asian . 25-56yo
  • Suspects: Mostly black males , solo, in pairs or group of 3. 18-30yo.

2 suspects were described as F600 and one was wearing a red

  • sweatband. Two suspects were wearing white tracksuits.
  • Property taken was mostly phones.
  • MO: One snatch was a bank card at the NATWEST on

STOCKWELL ROAD. Two robberies involved the victim being punched in the face.

Residential Burglary – Coldharbour Lane

Overview: Burglary: 9 burglary offences in the last two weeks (two of which were non-res). 5 were in week 1, and 4 in week 2. Time/Day: Mainly weekday daytime offending with a slight peak on Wednesday (4 of 9). Only one offence during the weekend. MO: Entry gained either through the window or via the front door either by force or by the slipping of locks. Location: The surrounding streets of Coldharbour Lane, particularly around Loughborough Junction train station. Suspects: Motor vehicle: 6 offences in the last two weeks. 1 was in week 1 and 5 were in week 2. No common MO or peak day. Inference: Residential burglaries have emerged around the vicinity of Loughborough Junction

Tactical Problem – Street Crime in the Milkwood Road Vicinity

Overview: In the last 2 weeks there have been 13 robberies in the highlighted vicinity. Railton Road was the main repeat location, with 4 offences. Time/Day: All but two offence took place in the evening into the early hours (2130-0630). There was no peak day, offences were evenly spread throughout the week. MO: A number of offences took place at knifepoint and 1 further offence featured a high level of violence. Vehicles were used by the suspects in 3 offences, although there were different descriptions of the vehicles. Victims: 7x Females, mainly white, between 29-45 years. 6x Male, mainly white, between 17 and 43 years. Suspects: Mostly black males operating alone or in groups of up to 3. 18-30 years. . Inference: Street crime in the roads surrounding Milkwood Road has increased, with lone victims being targeted in the late evening/ early morning period.

Inference: Ongoing personal robberies in the vicinity of the York Hill Estate, previous tasking has not had an impact on this area. Context: 8 personal robberies in the last two weeks.

groups of between 3 and 7. Light skinned black male with a chipped tooth. One suspect had a Norwood School uniform on. Light skinned black with blemishes on face.

L – In the vicinity of West Norwood station,

T – Offences mostly range from 1600 – 2200hrs

Ongoing Shed Burglaries – Streatham South

Overview: 8 further offences over the last two weeks. Time/Day: Weekdays and predominantly overnight. MO: Forced shed door or damaged padlocks. Venues: Main repeat locations – Arragon Gardens, Buckleigh Road and Tankerville Road. Property Taken: Cycles of various makes. Inference: There has been a spate of non-res burglaries in the south of Streatham in the last 6 weeks where bicycles were targeted.
