There are different ways to stay safe when using the internet
- Ask a computer shop to help you
set parental controls on of your devices.
- Have up to date anti-virus
software (Norton, McAfee)
- Ask your Internet Service Provider
(ISP) to add ‘Content Filters’, these block some websites

numbers for some websites
- Passwords can be names, or places
- PIN numbers are usually 4 numbers,
similar to PIN number for your cash card 1234
- Don’t write your passwords or PIN
numbers down
- You should never tell anyone your

Email is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family
- Sometimes we get emails from
people we don’t know or from companies trying to sell something. This is called SPAM Email
- If you get an email from someone
you don’t know with a link do not click on it
- You might get an email from your
Bank asking you for information. This can be spam and you should delete it and then call the bank to check
