Portrait of a Fremont Graduate Campaign
Project Goals:
- Involve students, parents, community members, and staff in a large-scale
conversation about what we want in our FUSD graduates
- Develop community consensus on what’s important to provide for all Fremont
students throughout their school careers
- Generate a district roadmap for a well-rounded FUSD graduate with the
qualities, experiences, character, skills, and knowledge they should attain along the way
- Focus staff and the Board on clear outcomes for 21st century learners
- Align budget and resources to the Portrait attributes

Next Steps
- Assess current TK-12 programs and offerings in the district
- Enhance existing programs that directly support student development of
attributes; discontinue those that impede or have negligible impact on progress toward goals
- Look for gaps and create opportunities to address student needs
- Reach out to the City of Fremont, local businesses, Mission Valley ROP, and
higher education institutions to partner on post-graduation pathways
