Where We Started

  • May, 2017 The City of Fremont and Fremont Unified entered into a partnership to hire

a FUSE Fellow who would create a comprehensive strategic and sustainable STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) educational plan.

  • A national search was conducted and Parker Thomas was hired in June 2017 with a

start date of October 2, 2017.

  • Parker has begun the process of establishing a strategic plan, developing

partnerships and identifying funding sources for a sustainable STEAM pathway in

  • Fremont. One of the primary goals for the fellow is to help increase student

engagement in the Fremont manufacturing community and identify post-graduation employment pathways.
