Evaluates coldwater stream condition Identifies problems and concerns Outlines needed protective actions Builds local awareness and support for the conservation of coldwater streams
Coldwater Conservation Grants
Grants are targeted towards watersheds that: Are located along streams that contain naturally reproducing trout populations or have the potential to contain naturally reproducing trout populations; Are listed as special protection waters within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; The stream section is generally open to the public or indicates public utilization of the stream segment; Show significant use of partnerships, describing how organizations will cooperate to develop and implement the plan; and, A local organization takes the lead in planning, rather than a consulting firm.
