CHS students who have never attended BACC may apply for the Smith River Farms and Branch Agri-Business Council "Farmer's Day" scholarships. All other scholarships require attendance in a BACC program. Ob Objective The reason why I plan to attend college is to obtain a full time job in the food service industry. Attending college will give me everything I need to be able to open and
- perate my own restaurant. I fell in love with the food
service industry after enrolling in the Culinary Arts program at the Branch Area Careers Center. In this rigorous program I was able to experience real world applications like measurements, recipes, and food preparation techniques. I found something I truly loved to
- do. With this, I also found I was doing better in my
traditional classes at Coldwater High School. In volunteering my time, I found it rewarding to work at the Masonville House using my skills in food service to help with food preparation and details in serving the clients breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I believe in myself, what I love, and my work ethic. This is what will ensure my success in college. I know that being successful will help me to help others. This is what drives and motivates me to be successful. Please consider me for your scholarship because, in a family of 10, I want to stand out, make a name for myself, and help others. I can only accomplish this with your generous financial support.

*Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club Scholarship: The Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club will be awarding one or more scholarships each year, depending on available resources. The recipient may be either a Branch County gr graduating g senior or a st student in attendance at a community college or 4-ye year Un University, or a vocational-te technical insti titu tuti tion pl planning to pu pursue a career in a child d related d area. GPA mu must be a mi minimu mum m of 2.5. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates financial need. Yo You must include a letter of recommendation from a te teacher or employer and a résumé sta tati ting your goals. Members of the Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club will make selection.

The Pioneer State Mutual Insurance-Branch Insurance Merit Scholarship: Available to a CHS Senior pursuing a 4 year degree in a business/management related field. Must have been accepted to an accredited college or university. Cr Criteria for selection:

- Good attendance and excellent oral/written communication
skills
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Priority will be given to students involved in community
and/or extracurricular activities
