Scholarship

A scholarship is a sum of money or other aid granted to a stu- dent, because of merit (academics, volunteer work, community involvement, athletjcs etc.)

Bursary

A bursary is a monetary award that is granted on the basis of fj- nancial need. Scholarships and bursaries do not need to be paid back

ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

 Based on marks (90% or higher) and extra-curricular actjvitjes  Some must be nominated by high school  For, Queens, Western & U of T see guidance ASAP

The Natjonal Book Awards

 Must be nominated by High school (1 per school)  Award recipients receive a Natjonal Book Award recognizing

their achievements
