  3. 7/13/2017 Project Overview  City applied for federal Local Agency Program (LAP) funds to conduct study  Requested to identify short and long-term strategies for: – Complete Streets – Multi-modal enhancements – Transportation Systems Management & Operation (TSM&O) – Defining the future vision of the corridor Before After Befor e 5 Project Goals  MPO and City of Kissimmee want to coordinate the development of a future vision for Central Avenue that establishes a multimodal approach to providing for future transportation needs.  Community-based evaluation to determine how best to meet the needs of current and future users .  Establish a long-term plan to guide evolution of the corridor that appropriately correlates the balance between land use and transportation planning . 6 3
