• Form tutor as first ‘port of call’ –daily information.
• Mrs South or Miss Devonish –curriculum or welfare matters.
• Heads of subject or the class teacher –progress / grouping and subject specific information.

• Absence requests –please avoid if at all possible but contact Ms Allen, the Head Teacher, for

permission for any extenuating circumstances that arise. Absence, due to illness, as always, to be reported daily to the absence line (Mrs Day) and a letter brought in on your daughter’s return. This is vital as evidence is sometimes required by Examination Boards.

senior member of staff.

• 3rd November - Sixth Form Open Evening.
• 14th November-16th December - Exam/Mock Exam Season.

• 7th February – Year 11 Revision Evening for Parents & Carers
• 27th February-3rd March - Pre-Public Mock Exams for the

core subjects of English, Maths and Science.

Lunch Pass

This year a further reward will be introduced for all Year 11 students that complete the following on a weekly basis –

• Attend school every day.
• Punctual – no lateness.
• No behaviour points.

If these terms are met each week, then the students will be allowed to go into Epsom

• n a Friday lunchtime, subject to parental permission. This particular reward scheme

will start the week beginning 19th September. This will run for the whole term, except when there are other events or exams on that are relevant to Year 11 that they need to be in school for during this time.

• Our exam board is EDEXCEL.

The course code is 1MA1.

• For Maths GCSE there are 3

exams – one non calculator paper and two calculator papers.

• Each exam is 1hr 30mins long.

• Sets 1-3 will be taking 3 Higher mock papers in December

New FREE app launched April 2016 The CGP revision app costs £1.49, but would be another good revision source to use with questions, flashcards and games A free revision app popular with many students last year

CGP revision guides will be on sale through parent pay (and on Amazon – but we are probably cheaper thanks to our schools discount) Each revision guide costs £3.50 We are not Amazon – do not expect next day delivery!!

Post 16 – Mr Lach

• Every young person must remain enrolled in some form of education or

training up until the age of 18

• Those who do not achieve an awarding grade (4) in English or Maths will be

required to re-sit these qualifications

• 6 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade 4 will become the expected

entry standard for admission to Rosebery Sixth Form

Raising Participation Age

• From 24th September onwards every Year 11 student will have a CEIAG

meeting with a senior member of staff
