Header Communication is vital • Planner checks – parental signatures are still required please • Form tutor as first ‘port of call’ – daily information. • Mrs South or Miss Devonish – curriculum or welfare matters. • Heads of subject or the class teacher – progress / grouping and subject specific information. • Child protection: Mrs Byrne or Ms Allen • Absence requests – please avoid if at all possible but contact Ms Allen, the Head Teacher, for permission for any extenuating circumstances that arise. Absence, due to illness, as always, to be reported daily to the absence line (Mrs Day) and a letter brought in on your daughter’s return. This is vital as evidence is sometimes required by Examination Boards.

Header Key Dates for Year 11 • 26 th September-14 th October - Year 11 Interviews with a senior member of staff. • 3 rd November - Sixth Form Open Evening. • 14 th November-16 th December - Exam/Mock Exam Season. • 12 th January - Year 11 Parents Evening. • 7 th February – Year 11 Revision Evening for Parents & Carers • 27 th February-3 rd March - Pre-Public Mock Exams for the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.

Header Lunch Pass This year a further reward will be introduced for all Year 11 students that complete the following on a weekly basis – • Attend school every day. • Punctual – no lateness. • No behaviour points. If these terms are met each week, then the students will be allowed to go into Epsom on a Friday lunchtime, subject to parental permission . This particular reward scheme will start the week beginning 19 th September . This will run for the whole term, except when there are other events or exams on that are relevant to Year 11 that they need to be in school for during this time.

  30. Header GCSE Maths Structure • Our exam board is EDEXCEL. The course code is 1MA1. • For Maths GCSE there are 3 exams – one non calculator paper and two calculator papers. • Each exam is 1hr 30mins long.

  42. What happens if? Should a student not achieve at the required standard, they will be expected to complete another ISA. Please note that a typical ISA takes between 6 and 8 hours to complete and each one involves the completion of two externally set examinations.

Select Rosebery as the school, username and password are both “ roseberystudent ” BBC bitesize contains revision materials and videos and short quizzes on each section of the specification. It is a reliable and FREE resource. New FREE app launched April 2016 The CGP revision app costs £1.49, but A free revision app popular with many would be another good revision source students last year to use with questions, flashcards and games
