Wednesday 30th May 2018

slide-18
SLIDE 18

IPAD INFORMATION EVENING

Do we require insurance and where should we get it?

  • Insurance of the iPad against theft/damage is your
  • wn responsibility, the cheapest way to insure the iPad

is to include the device as part of your house Insurance. You will have to inform your insurance company & give them the serial number of the iPad. The Serial number will be on the paperwork provided with iPad. With FBD it adds extra €20 per year onto your policy from the renewal date.

  • There is no need to insure the ebooks

Are copy books gone and will writing skills be reduced?

  • Certainly not. Students still have to sit the same Junior

IPAD INFORMATION EVENING

What are we doing about Cyber bullying?

  • We are very conscious of this topic and each year each

junior year group receives a talk on Cyber Bullying. The staff, the parents committee and school management are all working year round to best control this issue

  • We also insist that a strong protective case be used:
  • Providing a safe and monitored environment is

important to us and allowing 3G devices to work

  • utside of our network is something we do not allow.

If you intend using your own iPad you must let us know and also agree to install our MDM (mobile device management) software which allows us to monitor your iPad in school.
