What is “La Liga”?

The Ibero-American League of Civil Society Organizations “La Liga” is a private non profit institution, currently involving 26

  • rganizations

from 18 Ibero-American countries, which are specialized in human, social and community development. The League was legally established in December 1999 in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), according to Spanish legislation.

supports proposals which have an impact on public policies to address poverty, social exclusion and inequity, at national, regional and Ibero-American levels. Strategic Goal 2

actor at regional and national levels, having an impact on public policy within the context of improved governance of the region’s countries. Strategic Goal 3

  • Providing “La Liga” member organizations with the mechanisms

and devices that would strengthen their advocacy skills at national level and with the networks they are part of.
