The Biblical View So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. • Genesis 2:7 • 18 And the Lord God said, “ It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” • 19b But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
