USCMS HCAL FERU Maryland Details • HTR Demonstrator Task – 30d Technician – 10d each for 6U card, Universal Tester, and FEE • HTR Demonstrator Task – $15k M&S – 5 boards, approximately $3k/board: • $2k parts (dominated by large FPGA, advanced model) • $1k F&A • Universal Tester - $4k M&S – 1 only, maybe 6U, maybe handheld w/power supply • $2k parts, $2k F&A • Front End Emulator (FEE) - $12.5k M&S – 6U VME – Will have • 4 fiber outputs, to be used for data simulation into the HTR input. • Will also have simulator input into the DCC, • vitesse stuff into the L1 trigger • estimated parts cost is: – $2.5k each, build 5 of these: 1 per institution, plus 2 spares • $600 connectors - $150 for each of 4 fiber connectors (SC optical) plus chips • $500 FPGA • $200 FIFOs • $500 card • $500 F&A&testing • $350 misc CMS-TriDAS. 16-Feb-00 8
