ü Demonstration unit. ü Development of City and Guilds Level 3 accredited module. ü 30 trained students - Level 2/3 students. ü Development of a one-day course. ü 180 regional contractors and subcontractors trained. ü Student and business hub.

What does the training consist of?

Fabric First Institute training purely focuses on best practices theory and practical techniques relating to building asset performance, including: Ø Importance of collaboration (mixed trades learning together); Ø Insulation; Ø Air tightness; Ø Thermal bridging; Ø And mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR).

What has the project already achieved?

Ø Pre bookings of 113 places of the 180 available. Ø Other regional colleges are enquiring about the availability of the Level 3 qualification accessibility for their students. Ø Captured the imagination of industry. Ø Regional Centre of excellence in quality buildings and supporting our low carbon economy.
