Public Hearing • Pursuant to Florida Statute 339.155, 335.199, and 120.525 the Florida Department of Transportation is conducting this public hearing concerning the proposed design project on SR 600 from south of Pleasant Hill Road to West Portage Street • To provide the public with the opportunity to express their views relative to this project • Hearing advertised in Orlando Sentinel – Osceola Extra on October 9 th and October 20 th and in the El Sentinel on October 15 th

  8. Why Are We Making These Changes? Improve capacity, traffic operations, safety • Adding one lane in each direction • Adding a two-way flyover • Modifying median openings • Signalization • Bike lanes

  9. Improve Capacity/Reduce Congestion Traffic Studies • Current Vehicles Traveling Per Day SR 600 – 55,500 Vehicles 2015: CR 531 – 50,400 Vehicles • Projected Vehicles Traveling Per Day SR 600 – 70,000 Vehicles 2041: CR 531 – 62,000 Vehicles
