Pouley Road Rustic Road Designation Process
From March 2006 to September2014
- Application of Pouley
Road as a Rustic Road submitted by residents. (2006)
Pouley Road Residents
- Commission reviewed
application and determined the road met the criteria.
- Commission directed staff
to complete a Corridor Management Plan.
Historic Preservation Commission
- State Law required Village
to annex to the far side of Pouley Rd. resulting in the majority of the road being under its jurisdiction.
- This made it necessary to
- btain an
intergovernmental between the Village and the County to administer the program within the Village.
- Further it required their
approval of the Corridor Management Plan.

Creation of the Corridor Management Plan
- Johnson’s Mound Plan
was being developed and would go through a public review process.
- Once the plan had
been completed and approved the Forest Preserve signed the Corridor Management Plan.
