Focus of Integrated Action Plan

  • Dublin City Council aims to increase the capacity of the administration to better

plan and implement smart technologies and infrastructures in a way that can enhance operational efficiencies, reduce costs and deliver better services and engagement with residents.

  • The Docklands area of Dublin has been identified as the focus for IAP due to its

strategic location and also the presence of key stakeholders with an active role in technology and smart city innovation. One Main Goal for Dublin To position the Dublin Docklands as a leading ‘Smart District’ aligning key stakeholders to build and showcase ‘state of the art’ smart city innovations and installations which address priority city challenges in areas such as energy, sustainable mobility, environmental management and enhanced levels of public engagement. This will be achieved through a public private collaboration model bringing together leading companies, research centres, government agencies, SME’s, startups and residents.
