  14. KICK-OFF MEETING Purpose: Review the SIP that will be implemented this year. It is a way to get everyone on the same page to start the new year. This is not a meeting to make changes.

  15. Agenda for Kickoff Meeting Faculty and CC 1. Review InSAI Vision to Action Process 2. Review the following components of your current SIP:  Vision Statement  Data Targets  Concerns  Strategies 3. Break into small groups by Strategy and review the strategy’s To Do List 4. Record minutes from the meeting and utilize Parking Lot for ideas to address at a later time in the process

  16. Agenda for Kickoff Meeting Student Discussion Share Strategy Descriptions with Students Prompt: What can students do to help each of our school’s strategies be successful?

Cycle 1 Schools Conduct Local Meeting 2 (Prep Tasks document 2.11) At Faculty and Community Council Meeting: • Revisit the current Vision Statement • Examine and discuss each paragraph point • Get consensus Discuss with all Students the ideal teacher and the ideal student Record minutes from these meetings

Engage the Faculty, CC, and Students Schedule Meetings for the year Share some effective ways you found to ... get all faculty to attend meeting get parents and community to attend CC meetings invite all parents to attend CC meetings get commitment from specific parents and community reps to serve on CC Include all students in student discussion prompts Encourage and Engage Give a task for Faculty and CC to complete prior to meeting Create opportunities for small group discussions during meetings Have the meeting leader repeat what people say for clarity Document what people say and share Faculty minutes with Faculty, share CC minutes with CC, and share student responses with students.
