NYSAA Computer-Based ELA and Math Tests

 NYSAA administration window is March 21 to June 3 2016.  Students take multiple testlets in ELA and math.

 A testlet is a group of test items. Each testlet contains an engagement activity followed by 3-8 test items.  Item types: multiple choice, sorting, matching, and selecting.

 May be taken by the student on a computer or administered by a teacher using a computer, based on student needs.  Total test time is 40-80 minutes per subject, but allows flexible

  • scheduling. One or more testlets may be administered in a single

session or over multiple sessions/days.
