What does your membership get you? • Partnership with MoDOT, including annual prioritization of projects • Updated Hazard Mitigation Plans every 5 years • Grant writing services • Opportunities associated with the Missouri Association of Councils of Governments (MACOG) • Economic Development assistances, including EEZ management • Mapping services • Consultations at any time with the Executive Director or staff • A constant resource for funding opportunities and ideas • Training/educational opportunities in your community Proudly serving the counties of Bates, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, St. Clair and Vernon

  3. Focus Areas Transportation Historic Preservation Education and Outreach Plan Development Economic and Community Development Organizations Proudly serving the counties of Bates, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, St. Clair and Vernon

  4. Transportation SET Goal: Improve regional transportation, broadband and municipal infrastructure in order to support community economic development. Objective A: Develop a Regional Transportation Infrastructure Plan Objective B: Create a Regional Utility Plan Objective C: Focus on multimodal links to trail communities through cooperative support Objective D: Pursue federal and state aid for rural broadband in the region Proudly serving the counties of Bates, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, St. Clair and Vernon

  5. Historic Preservation Continue assisting counties and cities with their historic preservation efforts. KBRPC is currently administering 2 Heritage Properties Program Grants, and plans to write at least 2 grants in this upcoming cycle. KBRPC is working with the City of Butler to becoming a Certified Local Government, and plans to educate and assist other communities in the region who are interested in this certification.   7. Plan Development  Complete and adopt SET and CEDS Plans  Hazard Mitigation Plan Updates  Bates  Cedar  Henry  Hickory  Vernon  Regional Transit Plan Update Proudly serving the counties of Bates, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, St. Clair and Vernon

Community & Economic Development  Continue to administer the current county economic development programs  Work with Henry and Vernon Counties to possibly start their own county economic development program  Assess the needs of the region, find opportunities for those needs and write grants as necessary  Continue to grow relationships with state and federal agencies so KBRPC is aware when new opportunities arise.   9. Organizations Quad-Lakes Solid Waste Management District Goal: To enhance recycling services and education throughout the district, in order to divert waste from landfills to sustainable uses. Community Association of Regional Enterprises (CARE) Goal: To partner with local government and not-for-profit organizations to promote business development within KBRPC’s seven -county region. Truman Regional Community Development Corporation (TRCDC) Goal: To partner with governmental entities or educational institutions to enhance community development within KBROC’s seven -county region.
