Valuing Student Voice

 Give us as STUDENTS a say in how the school is run,

allowing us to put our mark on school policies as most of them effect us.

 If student ideas are acted upon is gives us a lot

more incentive to participate.

 Strengthens relationships between school and

home

 Allows us to be involved in projects, that we can

then put on our CV

 Make connections with the wider community

FUTURE

 Continuing and developing past projects

For Example: Extend the Biogas Project

  • Incorporate cattle yard waste, canteen and home Ec. Scraps.
  • Burn the methane produced in a flarer, to convert to CO2 which is

20 times less damaging.

  • EVENTUALLY – use methane to power the piggery and aquaculture

tanks

Encourage new students to be involved in Youth Voice groups to ensure their presence and place within the school
