Smart Class Room concept based e-Learning technologies for the Schools and Colleges of remote locations in MP to meet the demand of Good Teachers and Quality Education at block and below block level.

Vision

• NIC was entrusted with the development of Smart Classroom concept
• Implementation to be undertaken by the Department of IT and NIC in close

cooperation.

• NIC has demonstrated the Virtual Class Room infrastructure implemented at

the Gandhi Medical College, BHOPAL, under the National Knowledge Network Project

Colleges, IITs and IISERs

• Fully functional State Wide Area Network (SWAN) of GoMP
• 1000 Mbps NKN connectivity with Failover/backup to SWAN

Present Status

Today 63 Schools and Colleges are connected & attending expert Lectures delivered from Academy of Administration, Bhopal, using Smart Class facility along with teachers of their local institutions. Department of Higher Education and School Education have framed the Time Table, subjectwise & date wise, for conducting the classes on regular schedule.
