What was the remit ?

• Recruit volunteers to come and spend time with

residents doing befriending and activities

• Bring the community to our 10 care homes

social stimulation and company and entertainment to our residents - volunteers help us do this and bring the community to

What volunteers do for activities

• Volunteers mean that activity workers can involve

more residents at one time

• Volunteers can provide company and simulation

at times that the activity workers are not working

• Volunteers can befriend residents who don’t get

(many)visitors

• Volunteers can help physically transport residents

to activities - Simple wheel chair training can make this happen safely – this record with be

added to Vol training sheet
