All projects should be for the current school year It is recommended that approval for all projects be requested by October 31 of each year Exceptions will be made for opportunities that develop after this date
Crowdfunding-requires prior approval
What is it? The practice of using online sites to solicit donations, whether monetary or in-kind, on behalf of the school system Commonly known as Crowdsourcing
Board Policy 7360/8225 establishes a balanced approach that regulates and
provides parameters for crowdfunding on behalf of the school system. Parent organizations are exempt from the Crowdfunding Policy Crowdfunding Campaigns MUST receive prior approval

Receipt of funds/item Inventory will be handled by Technology and F Written report to Principal outlining how funds/item was used and how students benefited Crowdfunding Report
Fundraising
Approval Form is required and should be approved before beginning project Previously used was hard copy Request for Fund Raising Project Fundraising Procedures provide an overview Proper receipt and cash management rules must be followed at all times See your Treasurer for more details Summary of Fundraising Activity is required Approval should be requested by October 31 of the current school year
Gifts, Bequests, and Donations
8220 Gifts and Bequests
Technology items prior approval of Technology Director Pre-K items prior approval Other areas for prior approval Can be the form of real properly, personal property, or funds Donor must demonstrate they have clear and free title to property being donated Principal/designee must give the Superintendent/designee written notification that identifies the nature and purpose of the donation
Gifts, Bequests, and Donations continued
The Superintendent/designee may accept gifts up to $5,000 on behalf of the board, gifts should be reported at the next board meeting For gifts over $5,000 the Superintendent shall make recommendation to the board and seek their approval All accepted donations become permanent property of FCS A donor may request a specific use of the donation, however, the board reserves the right to deem appropriate use

PTA/PTO Booster Club By October 31 meet with Principal to let them know the plans for the year. Prior approval is not required by the district, only Principal at this point.
