Created in 2008, Vincent Lemaitre Architecte is a retail focused design and management consultancy providing expertise to luxury brands. In this context, the company established a close collaboration and long-standing relationship with brands such as PAULE KA, GIVENCHY Parfums and PIERRE HARDY.

Our objective and desire is to deliver innovative and creative solutions to our clients, for projects of many different scales, from retail flagship to brand pop– up and furniture design. For each project, we deliver :

• preliminary drawings
• final design, including fitting layout / ceiling and lighting layout / sections / all

necessary details so as to enable a thorough understanding of the project (scale 1:1 to 1:10)

• 3D renderings
• requirements regarding materials (sample box if necessary) / data sheets of

all products (incl. light fittings)

We have now a long track record of retail projects and a good knowledge and experience of construction site and technical constraints regarding structural works and MEP installations. VLA provides the necessary level of control to successfully deliver projects on behalf of its clients. On all projects, we establish clear communication routes, we determine from the

• utset the client objectives then seek to manage and balance cost, quality &

time. Within this context, the company provides the following services :

• Feasibility studies including :
• coordination for site survey
• definition of works program / analysis of client needs regarding technical

equipments and verification of their compatibility with the project site characteristics and the local regulations

• Analyse of the commercial lease contract
• Audit of the client concept design proposals and comment on Planning,

Building Regulations and Equality Act compliance

• Information to the client regarding fire regulation and Accessibility of the

handicapped persons main constraints

• Audit of the site constraints
• General schedule
• Cost estimate
• Project development :
• Landlord coordination / approvals 

• Planning application
• Building Control application for construction works 

• Coordination with MEP design
• Coordination with structural engineer

• Fire Officer coordination / approvals 

• Coordination with service utilities / alarms / comms etc. 

• Upgrade design drawings to tender / construction drawing package 

• Produce tender specification and compile documentation 

• Tender to at least three contractors 

• Review tenders and advise client on appointment 


• Construction management :
• Site project management 

• Cost control
• Chair weekly site meetings / reporting back to client
• Keep photographic record when on site 

• Min. site attendance 2 days a week 

• Punch list (preparation and inspection)
• Obtain all completion certifications (electrical, mechanical etc.) 

• 12 months defects liability inspection 


Assistance for procurement and construction supervision

From the feasibility studies until the 12 months defects liability inspection, the company is also able to provide to its clients an assistance for procurement and construction supervision, for projects not located in France.
