  2. Antennas Wide Band Directional Panel Antenna 600mHz to 2600mHz 600mHz to 2600mHz • +7dB Gain • 45 ° ¡Beam ¡width • Isolation, 18dB • +5dB Gain • Includes mounting hardware • 110 ° ¡Beam ¡width • Highly adjustable • Isolation 8dB • Easily tuned • Includes mounting hardware • Two can be paired for better coverage • Four mounting options

  3. Adding additional inside antennas (859993) (859994) (859106) Home Run: Splitters –A splitter will have an even division of signal to each port. Wilson offers 2 and 3 way 75ohm splitters. -4.8dB/leg -3dB/leg -6dB/leg Daisy Chain / Trunk Line: Taps – Are splitters that have an -10dB uneven division signal. There is a tap port (-10dB) and a pass thru -0.5dB port (-0.5dB). (859907) Pass through port

  4. Lightning and Weather • Lightning surge protection • Replaceable gas discharge element • Protects downstream equipment • 50 or 75 ohm models • Low loss Improperly sealed outside connector

  5. Booster Power/Indicator Light Green indicates the unit is powered, at full gain, and working properly. Green Orange indicates the booster is operating at reduced gain due to overload. PCS 70dB OK Green Red indicates the booster is operating at reduced gain due to oscillation (feedback). LCD Screen Band Select Button

  6. Booster Power/Indicator Light Red indicator light: The booster has shut down due to extreme oscillation (feedback). PCS * OFF OSC LCD Screen Band Select Button

  7. Booster Power/Indicator Light Orange indicator light: The booster has shut down due to extreme signal overload. (too close to a cell tower). PCS * OFF OVL LCD Screen Band Select Button

  8. Signal Meter Zero Gain Antenna • Essential site survey tool • Detects signal from all carriers • Optional Directional Antenna kit • Easy to follow instructions • Predictable results

  9. Site Survey ¡ 1. Start with a floor plan, hand drawn is fine. Include approximate dimensions. 2. Record signal strength on floor plan, inside and outside on all sides of building. Make sure to include all local carriers. 3. Look out for signals stronger than -65dB which can cause overload and automatic gain reduction.

  10. Site Survey Note the best locations for inside and outside antennas. As well as trouble spots to be aware of inside. Look for signal between -65dBm and -85dBm Outside Antenna -97dBm AT&T, T mobile -92dBm Verizon -95dBm Sprint -86dBm AT&T, T mobile Weaker signal -83dBm Verizon 65’ Inside Antenna -84dBm Sprint Stronger signal ~4225 Sq. Ft. Basic system 1 inside antenna 65’

  14. -20dBm Rule ¡ Strong Outside Signal ¡ Signal in Antenna Gain +7dB - 70 dBm System Gain System Loss Outside antenna +7dB Co-ax cable -12.5dB Amplifier +60dB Splitter, per leg -3dB 50’ RG6 coax Inside antenna +5dB Safety margin -6dB Loss = 6 dB Total system gain Total system loss -21.5dB +72dB 60 dB gain Antenna Gain Amplifier +5dB/antenna -70dBm + 72dB – 21.5dB = -19.5dBm Calculated Signal 50’ RG6 coax Loss = 6 dB -19.5dBm / antenna (good results) 25’ RG6 coax Loss = 2.5 dB Splitter loses 3 dB per side.

  15. Adding additional inside antennas Try to keep signal balanced across all antennas Plus or minus 5dBm is fine 1 2 4 3 Could be tap or splitter depending on layout
