  3. I love hearing those words! It takes lots of dedication and practice for a team to execute plays that lead to that touchdown. Yet even with energy, exuberance, tremendous effort, and pinpoint focus many times teams do not make that touchdown. And while the team ruminates on what they might have done that cost them the touchdown, it may have been totally out of their control. Imagine trailing your opponent by 1 point. There’s 24 seconds left in the game. You have a top-notch kicker, who is making a 27-yard field goal attempt. The kick is up… it looks perfect… then a huge gust of wind stops the ball in mid -air, dropping it like a brick to the ground – and just shy of the goalposts. This actually happened on November 19, 1983 and cost Mississippi State the Egg Bowl game, forever after known as the “Wind Bowl.” Mississippi State fans blame Mother Nature for their loss to Ole Miss. While I am not sure we need to blame Mother Nature for 2020, there are plenty of happenings that cause us to constantly remember we are living in interesting times. COVID-19. Murder Hornets. Rioting. All things that remind us we need to learn much more about nature and about people, to understand our universe. To New event date borrow Kyle Adkins words from his MO- MGMA article, “It is clear to all of us that we have too many things going in our lives right now personally and professionally confirmed by to risk pulling our members together at a time like this.” KCI Expo Center for There has been no lack of dedication, energy, effort or focus of the boards of GKC “Caring for the MGMA, NWMO MGMA, KCMPA, and AAPC-KC. Yet similar to Mississippi State, we’re not going to win this game this year. The hard work is not in vain, Kingdom” Symposium though. These groups worked hard to reschedule the symposium for September 22, 2021, using the same game plan – the same theme, venue and speakers where possible. I know the analogy doesn’t fit with football but think of it as a really long Wednesday rain delay. September 22, 2021 On behalf of the associations mentioned above, we wish you safety and good health. We wish you success in your professional life and prosperity for your Watch for details in business. And most of all, thank you for your continued support! early spring .
