  3. FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE • Established in July 2008 • Created to increase retention from fjrst to second year • 4 professional stafg; 4 graduate assistants; 4 student workers • Support for students & faculty

  4. FYE MISSION & GOALS Mission – to facilitate a positive transition to LSU through programs and outreach to enhance student success inside and outside the classroom

  5. FYE MISSION & GOALS • Educate new students on academic and campus resources, as well as LSU traditions • Provide opportunities to network with faculty, stafg, and other students • Promote multicultural and global awareness • Promote active participation in campus and Baton Rouge communities
