MOHELI MARINE PARK

  • Formally established on 19 April 2001. It covers

an area of 404 square kilometers and extends from the shore of the island to a depth of 100 m.

  • Ten marine reserves (5.5% of the park), where

all resource extraction is prohibited.

  • MPA, co-managed by ten communities with a

management committee comprising all stakeholders PMM, authorities included.
