following:
– The curriculum for Years 10/11 – The process for selecting options – Timeline for the options process
The Curriculum at Trinity
- The Year 10 and 11 curriculum
– English Language – English Literature – Mathematics – Religious Studies (PTE) or ASDAN – Combined Science (Separate Science for those selected) – History or Geography – Two options choices (this includes French or German) – Core PE (not examined)

Choosing Options (part 1)
- Students select either Geography or History as
an option
- Students also have the opportunity to select
Geography and History in block D
Choosing Options (part 2)
- Students select two preferences for block C
and two preferences for block D. As far as possible we will allocate students to their preferred subjects. Students must have studied the subject in Year 9
- Most students who have studied French of
German in Year 9 will be expected to continue the language to GCSE
GCSE/Vocational qualifications
- We offer two general types of qualification –
GCSE and vocational

Selecting preferences
- As much as possible we aim to allocate
students to their preferred subjects, but this is not always possible
- We may make changes to a student’s choices
based on our knowledge of them
- On rare occasions a subject may not run
because there are too few students who have selected it
