Company History Komena.Com was established in 1988 when we started off as a small IT company whilst we were studying at University. We started our first major contract with a company called Firebank “Linked Emergency Services” that was involved in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of all emergency services for the Fire Departments. My involvement was to write and computerise the complete project. This was quite interesting as we only had MS-Dos and basic communication and graphic facilities available. We also had our partner company design all the electronics that we were using for the emergency services linking the Fire Departments to the respective clients such as Government, Security, Corporate and Business Sectors. At the same time we decided to offer the same services to various corporate companies such as Turner Morris and Coastal Hire, amongst others. Our Web Design division started in 1994 which in South Africa was a very new technology to work with and also very expensive. However over the years we have managed to persevere and offer our clients a variety of solutions. Some of our marketing clients now are up and coming musicians and other artists such as Bikiza Mathuza, Andy Richards, and many more. Adrian Grewar, the owner of the company is a fully qualified IT Specialist with 3 Degrees and 15 Diplomas and Certificates behind his name. However you will notice that Adrian is a very down to earth person, who loves his work and always goes the extra mile for customers. Adrian was born in Kitwe, Zambia and has most of his life lived in South Africa.
