Quality Working Party Update

slide-51
SLIDE 51

TOGETHER WE ARE…

INSPIRED BY EXCELLENCE

slide-52
SLIDE 52

WHY?

We have previously shared with you our plans to improve the process to measure and maintain our quality offer across the consortium on a continual basis, not just when a venue initially joins Enabling us to have evidence of this means we can confidently promote our brand as Excellent doing exactly “what it says on the tin” We are fast approaching our strategic target of member numbers and it now becomes about “quality not quantity” and aspiring for us to be the very “best of the best” Let’s not forget that our purpose as a collective is to market quality

slide-53
SLIDE 53
  • Our brand name “Venues of Excellence” is a

brave statement but it needs to mean something to our externally facing audiences – by working together we can now all be INSPIRED BY EXCELLENCE

  • The quality working group was appointed by the Venues of Excellence Board and tasked to review
  • ur processes and to make the necessary recommendations, Nigel Dean currently heads this

group up

  • Having one common quality process across membership allows us to send a strong message out

to the marketplace. This in turn will raise our profile and perceived credibility to create effective marketing opportunities and leverage for you as our valued members

  • The INSPIRED BY EXCELLENCE program will be a mandatory and conditional part of membership
  • There is nothing to fear as we will support you on this exciting journey and we can learn so much

from each other

slide-54
SLIDE 54

WHAT DOES THIS INVOLVE?

  • A communication to all members will be issued by our

Chairman, David Vaughton explaining the new “Inspired by Excellence” process and benefits

  • We will ask each venue to conduct a new self-audit report against the revised criteria with supporting

evidence and to submit your data before 30 April 2019

  • It is mandatory that all members will be compliant for the start of the new financial year on 1st June 2019
  • Every venue will then conduct an annual “buddy audit” which is a fantastic opportunity to share peer to

peer learning – Buddy venues will be randomly drawn at the next Members Forum meeting in July

  • All prospective venues applying for membership will now be subject to these new quality procedures as part
  • f the joining process
