HCCD Hosts County Land Judging Contest

The Hughes County Conservation Distnct (HCCD) hosted the county Land Judging contest at the Fair on Saturday, August 24, 2013. The DIStrict lnvrted all area schools to participate, however only three schools wrth a total of 5 ceams partiopated in thiS year's

  • event. The seventeen students who partiopated were from Holdenville, Moss and Vvetumka

schools.

Hughes County OSU Extension office to provide the students with soil texrure types and booklets for a land judging school wh1ch was taught by Oklahoma Agriculture Teachers Hall of Fame W1nner Gerald Roberts. fl.1r. Roberts was Inducted into the Hall of F ame on August 2nd
