What is a Title I School?

  • provide students with extra instructional support

Title I Funds Spent?

Camp Creek Middle School Funds:

  • CCMS is a Title I school because we receive

funds from the federal government to provide additional resources to assist with the education of our children. We qualify for these additional funds because a large percentage of our students receive free or reduced meals at our school.

instructional programs for all students and the opportunity for our parents to be involved in their children’s education.

What Tests Will my Child be Taking?

  • Each summer, school faculty members meet to review and discuss

school data to help inform the School Improvement Plan. This data includes but is not limited to the following:

  • 2017 – 2018 Georgia Milestone results
  • District Benchmark Assessments
  • Student will attend After 4 Squad or individual classroom tutorial will

be provided. This will help the student with passing the school assessments such as the ITBS (8th Grade only), WriteScore Test (7th Grade), PSAT (7th & 8th Grade); GA Milestones (6th, 7th, & 8th Grades) and classroom assessments.

What is Required by Law for Parent and Family Engagement?

Jointly Developed

  • Camp Creek Middle School welcomes all parent input and

comments at any time regarding all parts of this plan. Our Parent and Family Engagement Plan is revised annually through our school’s Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan are held twice a year. CCMS has a schoolwide Title I

  • Program. Therefore, all parents are invited to participate in

this process. Camp Creek Middle School will provide several

  • pportunities throughout the school year to provide input
  • n the parent involvement plan. All parent feedback will be

Title I Parent and Family Stakeholder Input Meeting

We invite you to participate in our Title I Parent Input

twice each year (March of the current year and August – beginning of next school year). All parents are encouraged to attend. During this meeting, parents, teachers and administrators will work together to review and revise our School-Parent Compact and Parent and Family Engagement Plan (PFEP) and 1% additional Title I funds. Teacher Professional Qualification

  • Parent’s Right To Know
  • At Camp Creek Middle School, we are very proud of our teachers. We feel they are ready for the coming school year

and are prepared to help your child do their best in school. As a Title I school, we are required by federal law, under the Every Child Succeeds Act (ESSA), to let you know about your child’s teachers’ qualifications. It is your right to request the following information about your child’s teachers’ training and credentials:

  • Whether the teacher met the state requirements from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for

certification for the grade level and subject area which they teach;

  • Whether the teacher is teaching under an emergency or other temporary status through which Georgia

qualifications or certification criteria have been waived;

  • What undergraduate or graduate degree(s) the teacher holds, including graduate certificates and additional degrees,

and major(s) or area(s) of concentration; and

  • Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals, and if so, their qualifications.
  • Please know that our staff is committed to helping your child reach his or her highest academic potential throughout

their school career. That commitment includes making sure that all of our teachers and paraprofessionals are highly skilled and are providing quality instruction to your child.

Title I Parent Center

We have a very active Parent Center located on the blue hallway on the bus entrance. Mrs. Anita Davis is the Parent Liaison. The Parent Center resources and the Liaison are here to support you in meeting the instructional needs of your children. Our Parent Center is a place you can always go for assistance. The Center will be offering many workshops/ training sessions for parents throughout this school

  • year. (See handout provided in your title 1 package)

How Responsive Is CCMS?

  • Camp Creek Middle School uses the following communication

methods to provide parents with timely information about Title I programs and academic progress of students. Information regarding school and parent programs, meetings, and other activities are sent to parents in a format that is precise and understandable. The different types of communication are listed, but not limited to:

  • Principal Adams sends weekly schools messengers about

different events and activities in the school.

  • Parent Liaison sends weekly emails about different events and

activities in the school.

  • The teaching staff is required to provide weekly

updates/reports or newsletter to parents about grades or different events in the classroom.
