  2. Introduction ● We went to Norden Meadows to look at different animals and insects in the area. ● We looked at types of species like mammals, birds, insects, amphibians, macroinvertebrates, and fish.

  3. Introduction ● Hypothesis: There are more animals near the water in Norden Meadow then away from the water. ● Hypothesis: There is more of a variety of different species of animals near the water than away from the water.

  4. METHODS ● One of the first steps our research group took to collect data on animals, was to set up sticky traps for the purpose of collecting flying insects. ● Our research group also went to specific areas located on a hand held map. Looking in every direction, scanning the landscape for any signs of animals

  10. DISCUSSION ● Our data supports our hypothesis #1. ● It supports it by showing that animals were closer to the water than away from the water. ● Our data supports our hypothesis #2. ● It supports it by showing that there were more species near the water then away.

  11. Discussion In the wild animals graph there are more animals on the water than on land, like there were more insects, fish and birds on water. In variation of species graph it had a higher number of species on water than on water, so in all of the graphs there are more species on water than land.

  12. Discussion Our research could have been more conclusive if when walking around the ● meadow people were quieter and walked slower ● Data can be collected in different areas of the Sierra Nevadas such as Cold Stream and Prosser Creek
