– Converting the emotive motion into Muppets so that it is accessible to team CAVE and team MUPPETS.

Team MERRY MELODIES Music Overview

– Scene mood – Bee emotion – Possibly interested in bee position, next flower, & cues

  • How? - major/minor, chord progressions, tempo,

dynamics (soft/loud), predictable/chaotic...

Music Tasks (with estimated checkpoints given)

– Make sure it can happily coexist with other audio (1) – Research algorithmic music in light of this project (1, 2)

  • Design/Implementation (outside of Muppets)

– Identify how different musical elements convey emotion (1, 2) – Design an algorithm for composition/improvisation (1, 2) – Implement the algorithm, using a test app for input (2, 3)

  • Integration

– Integrate music module with Muppets (3)

Sound Effects

  • 3D positional sounds with surround sound playback –

mostly done. It can handle playing a 3d sound, but needs to have the update cycle fixed so the source can move and have Doppler effects.

  • Voice communication? If people want voice chat I can add

it in.

  • Currently only supports WAV files. Add more formats

such as MP3 and OGG.

  • Sound is only for Windows.

  • Finish the 3d sound. Just need to fix up a

few things. (1)

Team MUPPETS Team Muppets

  • Maya importation tool with full skeletal

  • Hook up to a media server (1)
  • Persistent level/storage editor (2)
  • Make interface for flowers system (1,2)

  • Integrate with stage manager cues system (2,3)
  • Audience member avatar and interface system
