She is also the Founder and CEO of 321 Coffee, a growing nonprofit coffee shop staffed by adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Lindsay is passionate about shifting the way society interacts with this community and hopes to use business to make this social impact.

  3. Madeline Yun Madeline is the Co-Founder and Chief Business Development Officer of RapidCat, Inc. RapidCat Inc. is a financial technology company located in Raleigh, NC. Madeline is also a Chemical Engineering student at North Carolina State University concentrating in Biomanufacturing. Her interests include public speaking, entrepreneurship, and the education and empowerment of future leaders in STEM.

Entrepreneurship Garage • The Garage is a venture creation and prototyping program located on Centennial Campus. • Resources include co-working space, prototyping equipment, speaker series, workshops, staff mentors and student networking • Members have 24/7 access to the facility and they maintain intellectual property rights for anything they create in the space • Becoming a member is an easy, two-step process. Eligibility: • Completion of at least 30 credit hours with 15 completed at NC State • 2.0 overall GPA • BUS majors are not eligible BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURSHIP Courses*: MINOR • EC 205 (C- or better) • ACC 200, 210, 220 or 280 (C- or better) The business entrepreneurship minor engages students in the • MIE 201 process of identifying, evaluating, and implementing business • MIE 310 • MIE 410 (prereq of MIE 310) opportunities that focus on value creation. This process includes • One of: MIE 411, 412, 413, 416, 418 the creation of new ventures, as well as adding value within or 419 (all MIE 4xx carry a prereq of MIE 410) existing companies through innovation applications. The minor Completion: focuses on embedding students in the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Raleigh and beyond. As a result, students who • 2.0 in minor coursework fulfill the requirements for the undergraduate Business • No more than 6 hours of transfer credit Entrepreneurship minor will develop an entrepreneurial mindset may be counted toward the minor through experiential learning and through their embeddedness in requirements the entrepreneurship ecosystem . * To successfully complete the business entrepreneurship minor, students are encouraged to consider taking MIE 310 Intro to Entrepreneurship during a summer term. Agribusiness Entrepreneurship contact Dr. John Russ at russ@ncsu.edu A 3 course undergraduate sequence offered by the Dept. of Agricultural and Resource Economics: ARE 270, ARE 370, ARE 470 Students from across NCSU are welcome !!! Adopts the Poole College of Management Clinical model for experiential learning . Students work in teams and with real world entrepreneurs and innovators to develop new ventures. Students learn the entrepreneurial mindset along with established methods for generating ideas, selecting opportunities, and developing robust business models. A 4 th course Launch Lab is available to actually start new businesses. Bring your ideas and your connections! Projects include ‘for profit’ and ‘not for profit’ and ‘start-up companies’ and ‘new ventures for existing companies’. They span the vast possibilities of the ag-tech, bio-tech, big data, food, fiber, and energy, nano, social, environmental, gene to consumer, … space.
