- Report on the progress of districts and schools in raising
achievement and preparing students for the future
- Provide one measure of district and school progress; an
important source of data for districts to use in conjunction with
- ther data
- Report on the results on state tests given to students in grades
3-8 and in select high school courses annually in the spring
- Provide a snapshot of student, school and district performance
at one point in time
Purpose of Ohio’s Local Report Cards

- Although significant legislation surrounds the requirements for
achievement testing, it remains only one source of data that is used by our staff in identifying and analyzing the strengths and areas for improvement for each and every student.
- Benchmarks to measure student performance levels have and
will continue to change annually
- 2016-17 report card measures not finalized yet by ODE -

test results of every student, with points awarded based on the achievement level of each student.
- Performance Index - 102.7 of 120
possible points (85.6%); A 4.9 point PI increase from 2015-2016.
- Indicators Met - the number of
indicators the district met out of 24 indicators representing each test and each grade level.
- Indicators Met - 14 out of 24
indicators met; ODE now requires 80% for passage; we must continue to increase student achievement levels
